Hazzard lamp problem.
Hazzard lamp problem.
I have a 1997 F-150 with hazzards that wont come on.(no illumination and no flashing or noise)All lamps except the hazzards are working fine. Looked in the owners manual for fuse location and didnt come up with much. Fuse position 1 for turn/stop turn indicators, but lamps working correctly.Fuse 23 listed as electronic flasher/4WD clutch relay, but 4WD is working correctly also.Could it be a flasher with all turn signals working correct? If I switch the hazzards to "working" position then turn signals go inop. But that would tell me that the hazzard "switch" is working? Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any info
O.K. after a few minutes of thinking I worked the hazzard switch for a fair amount of time, and for now it seems to be working, although it seems to short out in certain switch positions. Are these hard to replace?
There is only 1 flasher. The MFS switch it from L or R or both sides.
Hmmm - I guess things have changed over the years. Never run in to a single flasher system before. Sorry for the mis-leading post. :o
1997 - 1999 MY Stop / Turn

2000-2003 ( and 2004 Heritage & Lightning )

2004-2008

2009 - 2010 MY use the SJB to generate the flash ( Mirco Control ) via the FET, no more separate flasher relay.

No idea on the 1996 and older MYs, don't have the EVTM page handy.
