2001 F150 chime keeps turning on, Help

I bought this used 2001 F150 crew cab in great shape with minor issues.

The one thing I would like to fix is the ringing chime.
I don’t know why it chimes, it’s the same some when you leave your keys in or your seat belt off and I do use my seat belt along with every one in the truck.
Here’s what happens, I get in the truck turn it on while putting on the seatbelts the seatbelt light goes off and the chime.

As I start driving the chime rings 5 times stops for 5 sec. then rings 5 times stops for 5 sec. then rings 5 more times then stops.
Once I’ve been driving for a while it does it again, it might be ½ hour or 1 hour later, sometimes when I start slowing down.

No light comes on the dash when this happens it just does it at random. I sometimes fill like pulling it out the window but I rather try to fix it, any idea what it might be??

Sounds like the SRS light ( Airbag light ) is burnt out or is shorted to ground, and there is another problem ( no airbag light to give a Light Flash Code, so the tone is an indicator you need to replace the bulb, and get the LFC ).

Other members already gave you the answer, remove the DIY hack job, and put it back to factory.

I finally replaced the light bulb on the dashboard and the beeping stopped. Thanks a lot…
When I turn on the truck the airbag light on the dash blinks twice stays off for 5 seconds then blinks 7 times, turns off for 5 seconds then comes back on and stays on.
Would you have an idea what the issue could be?

See table above for LFC 27. The bulb's circuit in the PAD assy is open.

PAD = Passenger Airbag Deactivation
Check LFC 27 above ( there are 2 of them ).

Thanks SSCULLY,
I now think it could be the first LFC 27 on the list, because I once turned off the passenger airbag with the key to see if the chime would stop and the orange light above the key hole didn't turn on.
The airbag is on the on position and the light is not on in nether position.
I'll check the light bulb. thx. again..

I open up the airbag key device and the light bulb is burnt out, I'll replace it this coming week. I wonder what could have burnt them both out (at the dashboard and at the key on off). well one step at a time I'm getting all the little issues fixed on the truck with all you guys help. thx..

I just went through this too on my 2004 F150. Either I got the chiming or I got the 42 flash from the air bag light. I replaced the front air bag sensor and both issues went away.
