Replaced Blower Motor Resistor; problem still exists ('06 XLT)
I replaced my resistor and the problem is still the same:
speed 1 works
speed 2 works
speed 3 (stays the same as 2)
speed 4 works
I searched multiple other threads about the problem but it seems replacing the resistor worked for everyone else.
Any thoughts, what else could it be?

Typically if you have a BAD Blower Motor Resistor, NONE of the lower speeds work but the Blower will work on HIGH as in this switch position, you bypass the Resistor. If you had Speeds, 1,2 and 4, before and after replacing the resistor, it probably was NOT the problem to begin with. The Blower Motor itself only has two wires for power and ground. Did you check the blower speed switch itself on the operator panel?????
From this I get the blower motor is running in all 4 positions, is that correct ?

Yes, that is correct, but when I switch from speed 2 to speed 3 the speed of the motor stays the same. Do I need to replace the switch?
The only sure way is to use a clamp meter to get AMP draw on each of the levels.
Else, you are trying to use your ears to gauge fan motor operation.
haha; well speed 2 is too slow; speed 4 is too fast, so I'd expect speed 3 to be just about right! Except that it doesn't change when I go from 2 to 3. So yes, I'm using my ears and hands to feel the airflow and it doesn't change from 2 to 3. Even if I put a clamp meter on it to get the AMP draw and it said the draw was increasing on speed 3, I'd still have the same problem... Ah but perhaps I could eliminate my blower all together and perhaps Maybe my ears and feelers are defective... Where can I post to get help with fixing those???

The same problem is you think it is not working correctly.
The "switch" is the EMTC panel, self contained unit.
You have to replace the entire EMTC panel if you think the switch is the issue.

What about this: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...&parentId=52-0
If that Part number they claim is correct, that is a '97-03 blower switch.
Also the part number Autozone lists has been superseded by 1L2Z-19986-AA, so I would not trust it is correct.
