Need Help Finding Empty Fuse
Need Help Finding Empty Fuse
I'm going to be adding some lights next weekend and want to run them so that they can only be on when the trucks Ignition is in ACC/Run/Start.
I would like to run it to an unused fuse spot in the box behind the passenger kickpanel but can't figure out which one it could be.
I looked in my Owners manual and there wasn't much info there.
The truck is a 2008 F150 STX 4x4 Supercab. I haven't made any additions to the fuse box yet. The fuse only needs to be 10A since the lights are all LED and don't pull much power anyways.

According to the website manual both of those spots are unused. Look at the following website. https://www.flmowner.com/servlet/Con...OwnerGuidePage

Not sure what the OP is looking for in an "open fuse".
The fuse panel does not have aux fuses in it, so any open fuse slot would require removing the fuse panel and adding the fuse legs ( could be 1 or both sides of the open fuse slot ).
If you need an aux fuse, use an Add-a-Fuse to create the new fuse slot.

Scully- On the '08 it doesn't even show as having those positions (39&41) in the diagram of the fuse box. They are listed in the fuse listing as "not used" but they seem to have changed the box a little from the '04-up and completely deleted the positions. They've moved what was in those slots to other positions.
By the way Scully- how's the weather in Chi-town? Or shouldn't I ask?

Snow is not bad, the blowing and drifting is the PITA now. Makes traffic look as bad as yours

Wife and I both have some family back there, so we're back from time to time- We try not to make it this time of year though.
