87 battery jumping
Are you possibly saying there is a spark at a battery terminal when you connect a cable? If so, a small spark is normal. There's a few systems in your truck that are ALWAYS on, like the radio.
You are hooking the positive cable first, right? No spark there, right?
You get a spark when you apply the negative cable? Is it a small one or a big one? If it's a big one, you've probably got something that's shorting to ground somewhere in your truck. You'll have to look for frayed wires that are possibly contacting the frame. This can be a VERY tedious process! You didn't say, but I assume the doors are shut? Radio is off?
