I have a problem with my 05 150 and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas what it could be. The door lock switch on either door handle will not lock any of the doors & I have also noticed that the doors do not lock once its in drive. The remote will unlock the doors but will not lock them, the only way to lock my truck is to push down the "peg" on the door. This is kinda frustrating, anyone got any ideas? I did spray some contact cleaner onto the switch on the drivers door which seemed to cure it for a day or so but it has not ceased working. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

 

I would take a guess it is the lock actuators.

Best to pull the door apart, and check them.

Apply power to the door lock in one direction will lock it, in the reverse polarity it will unlock them.

If they show the same symptoms with power directly to them, it is a dirty actuator.

Your local Ford Dealer should be able to get them for you but they will likely charge you something ridiculous for them.
