From what I have read, Optima is not what it used to be. They were bought out and they have been in major decline, quality wise. I bought a high amp Interstate.

I completely agree with Bluejay. Do some comparison shopping. Who offers you the BEST warranty for the money? That's who you want to go with in my opinion.

I may be off on this, but I think the OEM is 650 amp and mine lasted 35 months. I bought one, seems like 950 amp.

If you want the best battery you need to invest in a ODYSSEY battery that is the BEST battery you can buy in the market right now.

Sears Platinum is EXACTLY the same as the odyssey. Tad bit cheaper and easier to warranty on top of that.

As far as the best...Kinetik is right up there with it, if not surpassing.

when i got my new battery over the summer i got one with around 800 Cold Cranking Amps which means its a beast. there are alot of brands to look at and choose from. id even look at the duralast gold from autozone. they have an 800CCA one that has like an 8 yr warranty on it for like 100 bucks
