looking for a better battery.
looking for a better battery.
Being that i have alot of electronics in my truck, i think a better battery would be a good idea. i here and see that people use i think whats called an optima battery. is it a good battery and should i do the upgrade?
From what I have read, Optima is not what it used to be. They were bought out and they have been in major decline, quality wise. I bought a high amp Interstate.

i believe in upgrading to a better battery, i would have to get one with more amperage output right? whats the stock batteries good for in a 08 screw. like lifewise and amps??
I completely agree with Bluejay. Do some comparison shopping. Who offers you the BEST warranty for the money? That's who you want to go with in my opinion.

figure i start now before mine dies down the road.
I may be off on this, but I think the OEM is 650 amp and mine lasted 35 months. I bought one, seems like 950 amp.

As far as the best...Kinetik is right up there with it, if not surpassing.
when i got my new battery over the summer i got one with around 800 Cold Cranking Amps which means its a beast. there are alot of brands to look at and choose from. id even look at the duralast gold from autozone. they have an 800CCA one that has like an 8 yr warranty on it for like 100 bucks
the odyssey battery better be good for 475 bucks!! that i'll stick with my optima yellow top i've had for 5 years with no problems.
