Thanks to the post from SSCULLY, I am fairly confident that a harness exists, but I was told basically the same thing, $140 with no guarantee. I plan to do some more checking before I commit. It's not an emergency yet, but will be come the first camping trip. I wonder if any conversion van companies would have a definitive answer on the correct harness?

same issue 2007 E350
I have the same issue with a 2007 E-350 van. I found that my electronic brake controller uses the same wire harness as my 1997 F150 truck. There is a connector on the floor on the driver side that it plugs into. I ordered the wire harness recomended by my dealer (7c2z-13a576-ha) for the 7pin trailer connector which did plug into a connector at the rear axel on my van and does give trailer lights but there is another connector on the harness that has no place to plug in. According to All Data DYI there should be a wire attached at the C110 connector pin 1 for the brake controller. I disasembled the C110 connector and there is no wire on pin 1 there fore I don't have a connector at the rear for this extra plug. I found a connector in the engine compartment (I believe it is 14A411) that is a match to the extra connector on on harness 13A576. I have been unable to determine if this is the correct wires for the brake controller or not (my multimeter is at the family farm so I can check next week). When I had originally saw the connector for the electronic breaks under the dash I thout this would be an easy wiring job... this has been a nightmare and all five dealers I have visited are of no help.
