Wire Diagram Help

Does anyone out there have or know where I can get the wire diagram for the following:

- 2005 Ford F150 with an auto tinting mirror

- Tinting mirror with backup camera from Ford with the part number 8U5Z-17700-C on the box or U5A-17E678 D6660 on the mirror.

I am trying to switch the mirrors and gain a backup camera while retaining the auto tinting.

Any help on which pins are for what would be great. I am very good at wiring but I dont want to short the thing out.

Thank you.

Jed

do a search, I'm pretty sure SScully has posted a diagram somewhere on here, or try taking a look at his photo albums. He has quite a few diagrams there.

Hope this helps

Tinting mirror with backup camera from Ford ?

They did not have this in 2005. Is this a factory option, or a 2009 option ?

2009 option but I am adding it to my 2005. I have all the parts but I only need to wiring so I can connect all the wires correctly.

I could do process of elimination but I wanted to start this way.

Thanks,

Jed

Figured SScully would make an appearance on this one.

Thanks Sscully!!!!

I looked over them quickly and I think I figured most out, but here is a major question to ask.....is there a diagram with a picture of the pins of the connector and labeling what is what.

My goal is to cut the connector off of each end and I have new weather pack connectors which I am going to put in place so it looks factory.

The picture with the pins labeled would help the most, thank you.

The pin numbers are on those diagrams.

Example : For the Mirror pin 1 ( circuit 294 - white w/ black stripe wire )

When you look at the connector, you will see the wire into the connector, so you know where pins 1,2& 3 are at. 4 is most likely empty.

Here is the problem....for the new mirror I have no connector so my plan was to attach a wire lead to each of the male blades on the mirror and then shrink wrap each individually so they dont short out and then splice these leads to the camera and to the exisiting wiring harness on my truck. I can see the colors for the camera and have a diagram for that and I can see the colors on my 05 truck but I cant for the 09 mirror.

I was hoping with the picture of the connector facing my I could simpley see where each goes by counting which number pin it is and then attach my leads to the correct wires exisitng on the truck.

I am sorry I am being a pain here.

Thanks again.

Jed
