what is a RFI cap

I am having a short problem and that someone suggested that it might be a RFI cap. What is a RFI cap and where is it located?

An RFI-CAP is a Radio Frequency Interference - Capacitor, used to filter disturbances from the radio band that interfere with your piece of electronic equipment.
