SRS indicator light on

In the spring my SRS indicator light on teh gauage cluster came on aad won't shut off. Both bags are intact, seat belts work fine and there has been no front impacts. Has anyone had this problem and if so what is teh fix?

Cheers

Count the flashes at power-on to get the two digit fault code (if one is presented).

Okay counted the flashes as four pause two so I'll assume that is the two digit code for 42? which according to the diagnostic sheet is a front severity sensor. Any idea of proceed to change / replace this sensor?

No, you never replace parts based SOLELY on a code (SRS, PCM, or other). There's a specific diagnositic procedure for each code, but working with airbags takes some special equipment & experience, so it's not something to learn on. Pay a pro, or just leave it alone.
