3rd brake light install issues

3rd brake light install issues

You all have prob heard this question alot. i just got my led tails and 3rd light off ebay and the tails work great and install was so easy a caveman did it. now the problem the new 3rd light came with a wire and plug set to plug in, but it seems my truck is wired into a harness i have an 05 screw and not sure if theres a plug way under the head liner and dont want to remove the liner if i dont need to. or am i just gonna have to hard wire the set up, the factory light has 3 plugs coming off it and new has one can some one help here thanks

Doesn't your OEM light have bed lights on either side of the stoplight? Does the LED light have these bed lights? If not, I think that's the problem. You just need to connect the LED wires to the OEM stoplight wires. You MAY have to "hardwire" it if you can't find an adapter.

thanks jack but i got it, there is a plug in but you have to lower the rear of the headliner and pop the harness grommets to get to it. all is installed and working. thanks again for your advice
