I have a 2004 F150 also which I bought in May of 2015 and have had this exact same problem since day one. It now has a new Motorcraft battery in it and I don't want to ruin it. I too have pulled the PDL fuse out and the battery will stay charged for weeks. Before the PDL fuse is taken out the draw is .31 amps after it's out it's drawing .02 amps which is ideal. Note, tests are done with key out and 45 minute wait. I rigged up a way to test the PDL circuit at the fuse box by making a gizmo with leads coming out of it so I could attach to my meter. When hooking up the meter, I get the clicking sound just like you would get if plugging in the fuse. At that point, the draw is oddly .00 amps unless I lock the doors and then it spikes to over 3.00 amps for a fraction of a second and then returns to .00 amps. So what are the next steps to take in the testing process. I notice this fuse in the manual says Power Door Locks (BSM). Where is the BSM located? Do not respond here as I started a new thread titled 2004 Ford F150 Parasitic Battery Drain. Thanks.
