Unhappy Electrical Issues-04 Screw

Ok guys, I've been lurking here for a long time, and never had a real problem, so i never joined. But today something happened..

The truck is an 04 Screw 4.6

The problem is that none of my gauges are working and I have no radio or int. lights. I have checked all the fuses I thought it would be and they look good with the tester. Is there any other fuses I'm missing. I replaced fuse 1 and 6 just to be safe. But it still isn't working. I'm really scared about how much Ford will charge...

Thanks in advance,
Logan Menk

Logan, according to Chilton, Fuse 24 feeds the instrument cluster, interior lights (and vanity mirror and cargo lights). Also, it shows fuse 7 and 31 as having something to do with the audio and interior lights (maybe just the radio) in addition to fuse 1.

You might have a peek at all those.

Did you look at #24? Beyond that, I'm out of ideas.

Have you messed with anything electrical lately? I know when my battery was low the gauges would jiggle when turned off. Very slight and quite movement. Similar to a dying battery, when I had the ground off for the gauge cluster and re-attached it it did a similar thing. Not exactly what you described but just an idea.

I put in a sub/amp a while back. Probably like 2-3 weeks ago. Would this affect it any? And i put in a new dome light about a week ago. But everything was done correctly and replaced w/ oem stuff..

The power is ran to the battery, ground to one of the seat bolts. Remote turn on is ran to an acc wire behind the radio. My subs aren't hooked up right now though. Does that answer what you needed SSCULLY?

I'm not trying to be insulting, but I don't suppose that #24 fuse blew again, did it? The fact it was blown before makes me suspicious of the circuit.

What accessory wire would be useful, there are no real accessory wires in the truck, that are open for use.

What do you mean by not hooked up ? did you remove all the wiring, and tape the splice point. Speaking of which how did you splice into the "accessory wire" behind the radio ?

OK, you blew Fuse F24, which is the fuse to the battery saver relay.

This feeds the Interior lamps in the truck.
Did you happen to tap into the illumination circuit behind the radio ?

The Battery saver relay coil, ground side is connected to the Battery Saver relay function in the Instrument cluster. This is circuit 1005, Violet w/ Orange Stripe wire.

The normally open contact pairs on the Battery saver relay are circuit 705, Light green w/ Orange stripe wire.
This runs to the interior lamps in the truck, as well as the Electronic Engine Controls for the fuel sender ( AC/Dc converter ).

Did fuse #F15 have a problem, or any other fuses ?

I am going to stick with you have a problem on the battery saver or accessory delay circuits, as those seem to be in common with the list you gave.
