Perhaps worn insulation on a wire that is allowing a short to ground?

Which fuse number? What does the owner's manual say that fuse protects?

Apparently it's the dash Illumination fuse.

Did you add anything to that circuit?
Does it pop with the truck sitting still in the driveway, or do you have to get it shakin' around, first?

It pops while driving, so I assume something is rubbing. taking a look at it today. Alternator and Battery were recently changed

if you want assistance, you HAVE to answer questions that are asked to guide you to a conclusion.

Just to clarify projectSHO89 is asking which fuse is blowing ?

Passenger Compartment Fuse 35 or Passenger Compartment Fuse 41 or both ?

passenger compartment, #45.. it says its a ignition fuse of some sort... I traced a battery wire that comes up to the firewall and connects to a wire that goes into the ****pit. It was badly corroded and upon inspecting it the eyelet broke off. I spliced the two wires together and let the truck go. I took it down the backroad and back, bumps and such, it never went out again.....

If it happens again, remove the steering column shroud and inspect the little harness that comes our of the shift lever tube. It's the most common reason for that particular fuse to blow.

F45 also provides power to the instrument cluster's computer.
