Auto locks problem

On my 01 F150 my auto locks are malfuntioning.
I have done the procedure but it does not deactivate them. When I first turn the key to ON the locks engage. If I unlock then start the engine and put into drive, they lock again. I don't think they are supposed to lock when the key is turned to ON. When I do the procedure, it does the opposite of what it's supposed to, and the locks always lock when key is turned ON, engine off or running.
Would I have a problem with a GEM or other electrical module?
Thanks in advance.

Do the door locks work as normal ?

If you are sure you followed the disable procedure in the manual, then this would be an issue with the CSM ( Central Security Module ).

If you are sure about the procedure, next step is do you have a keypad ?

If so, you might want to unplug it, and try the procedure again, to make sure it was not messing with the programming ( adding input to the CSM while programming ).

If you do try a bone yard run for the part, you need the CSM out of a truck built after 2-OCT-2000, prior to this it was a RAP, and is not pin for pin compatible with the CSM.

Yes the locks work as normal.
I do have the keypad, but do not know the code (I bought the truck not from a dealer and he did not know the code.)

The code for the keypad is on the CSM

Note parking brake to the left side of the picture.
Driver's side floor.

Looking up behind dash.
Left side of picture is the ratchet mech for the parking brake.

The plug for the keypad is in the driver's side door.

In this thread, some of the pictures for it, should be right by the speaker opening ( after removing the door panel and the speaker ).
