Extra hole at bottom of tail light

07 F150 at the bottom of tail light is a piece of tape covering a hole. Do anybody know what it for? I'll thinking of adding a socket for added braking lights.

if you bought the truck used... its possible that it was for strobes. My co-worker has strobes in all four corners for construction flashers.

My brother did the same thing. They weren't very big, maybe a half inch in diameter?

I'll try to get my co-worker to take a picture and send it to me so that you can compare the holes in your tail lights to the holes in his.

Hope this helps!

its probably for venting heat and such ... i added strobes to my truck and put them near my brake bulb but i wired in 3 bright leds that i placed in that bottom area so that the area that you are talking about flashes with signals and brakes
