05 Fog Lights with water in them...

Does anyone have this problem with their 04-05 fog lights? I was wondering if the dealer would cover them under warranty? And has anyone taken them apart to dry them out/re-seal them? Any help is appreciated. I keep blowing the bulbs because of the moisture so I am now without fog lights.

One not too long ago came up with the same item

https://www.f150online.com/forums/el...foglights.html

Seems to happen with the square ones, the 06+ have round ones.

Compete fog lamp is only ~ $ 43.00 + S/H online ford parts dealers. Might not be worth the wait at the dealer to try to get it done for free.

Quick swap out.

Unless you have an extended warranty yours has probably expired right?

I had mine replaced once under warranty, water got into the housing and the bulb on the passenger side exploded. It coated the inside of the housing with crap, so the dealer replaced both housings just to be safe. No problems since.

If I had to pay for the housings, I think they were like $125ish each. Plus labor to install. I'd try and dry them and reseal them yourself first.

I know you did not buy them, but that is way over list each. Was that lsit for the pair ?

Right is MSRP 62.50 online price 44.91
Left is MSRP 59.42 online price 42.42

Watch buying stuff from them, not the first time I have seen prices in threads that were list + extra from local dealers.

I do have the extended warranty, and there's some other things it's going in for, so I'll have them include the lights. Thanks for the info!
