how do you separate foglights?
I have the square oem foglights but they are full of water, (explains why bulbs keep blowing) i tryed to separate the lense from the caseing but it seems to be well sealed, i'm worried about cracking them if i try to pull them apart, does anyone have a trick for this?
if you have water in them, it is either the lens to the back that is failing, or the bulb is not in correctly.
One quick test is to de-install it from the truck ( pull the bulb off the connector, and don't touch the glass ) and tape up the harness.
Fill the fog lamp with water, and see if it leaks around where the glass is mounted to the housing. If it does, you can mark it, and try resealing it with RTV gasket material.
If it does not leak, it is a bulb install problem, just empty out the water, and let it drain upside down, then use a hair dryer to dry it out the remainder of the way.
The replacements online are about $ 43.00 + S/H

they don't seem to leak, but they always looked foggy, condensation i guess, i just heated the lights up with a heat gun and was able to pull the lense off, but now i realize i have to paint the inside, factory paint worn away, any recommendations
Never seen much luck with painting them, the reflector will get hot from use.
You can try the chrome in a can spray paint. Never tried this, at this point I just replace them when the reflector goes.
