Unhappy High beams-Help

I have a 2006 f-150 xl 4x4. When I click my high beams on my lights go out. I lost my owners manual and was wondering which fuse or relay it is that is bad. I hear a clicking sound in my fuse box when I turn the high beams on and off. Please help!!!

Search in this forum for owners manual would provide a few URLs for download:

Taking a look at the high beams, the click you could be hearing is the high beam relay, the fog lamp relay turning off ( if you have fog lamps, and they were on at the time ) the problem could be with the bulbs themselves, the fuse or the relay for the high beams.

Best to start with the fuse, then check the bulb connector for voltage, and go from there.

Do the high beams work in the FTP mode ?
