What fuse does...

My cruise control will not work anymore, it will not set. However if I hold down the "on" and press set the horn will honk...

The back lighting to the light switch doesnt work.

The right cig lighter doesnt work on the dual outlet.

The cup holder light does not work.

My seat directional buttons stopped working, but I assume its a bad switch...

God knows what else...

Anyone know at least what fuses would be a good idea too look at for some of these problems or where to begin trouble shooting. I've been riding my bike (cbr600rr) b/c my truck has been pissing me off. But sometimes the weather is worse.

I just hope this doesnt mean there is going to be a continuance of failing electrical problems. I am hoping its a few fuses.

In order of problems..

Seat, lights backlight, cup holder, cig lighter, cruise control...

And yes, I have had the "Recalled" cruise control replaced...

Have you looked in your owner's manual???

All the fuses are listed there along with the circuits they protect.

Start with that.

cruise control
- Search for Cruise Control test, several threads on the topic. Sounds like something is a bit hinky with the clock spring, but best to start with the test, and see what is up.

The back lighting to the light switch doesn't work.
- Burnt out LED I would say, this is assuming that the other interior lighting works. Few posts on changing LED colors, or you can get a new one form a bone yard.

The right cig lighter doesn't work on the dual outlet.
- Look at your owner's manual on page 135, right there fuse #1.

The cup holder light does not work.
- Burn out bulb ??? open cup holder, remove screws, and pull bulb out. I think you can get to it from the back, but it is a bit tricky.

My seat directional buttons stopped working, but I assume its a bad switch...
- The power seat does not work ? Do you power adjustable pedals work ? If not, look at your owner's manual, page 136, right there fuse # 112 is a good place to start. If that is not it, best to test the switch for power to it, and then the switch itself.

God knows what else...
- Why post this then ??? You make it sound as if the truck is doign something wrong, but at 8 years old, you are bound to have a light burnt out, or a fuse blow.

Cruise control spring - check...

The other lights work, radio, gauge clusters, etc, burnt out light, most likely.. I agree.. will check...

The bulb may be burnt out, again, will check... I just though since all these things kind of went hazy at once maybe a fuse controlled those lights...

As for the seat switch it goes up and down with the main ****, and the other up/down button works also, just no back and forward motion, which is always the better motion if ya dig what I'm sayin'...

I also agree again scully, a truck built in 2000 and its 2009, it is doing very well. It is def showing her age, but still runs strong. Minor paint defects and some little dings here and there, but even new cars have those...

I just have to go get around to checking this ****... I do appreciate the starters and hints and idea's though bro... thanks.

CC Test, if you have not found it

https://www.f150online.com/forums/3421288-post2.html

The power set move in one axis, not the other, could be a switch or motor.

Here is a thread with some tests in the threads for the motor and switch. It is for a 1998, but should be the same wiring color codes.
