Fuse # 29 f150 '97

Fuse # 29 f150 '97
On my '98 F150 I keep blowing the 5 amp fuse #29 which kills all of my dash gages. I see that it mostly happens when I change gears from park to drive then I see the gages go flat. Does anybody have any suggestions or have had this happen to them? Need help to fix this problem!

I did find the short from the wire coming from the handle. I taped it up and no more blown fuses.
