Question battery drained

why does the battery lose power, it is brand new, had this trouble before and just got this battery, it sat for 2 days and got weak, 97 f150, had my buddy look it over and he can't find anything, pulled hir hair our looking three times, i hate to take it to a dealer when I know if he knew the trouble he could fix it.

3 things to check
1) Load test the battery-sometimes a bum battery escapes the factory
2) Do a draw test on the battery. To do this place an amp meter between with the battery and the ground, make sure the hood switch is in the off position and wait for a while for computer systems to shut down. The draw should be in the double digit milliamps. If not keep pulling fuses until the draw disappears
3) Alternator test

#2 sounds like your best bet, but the others only take a minute or two to try.
