09 F-150 Alarm Question

I just bought a 2009 F-150 and have a question about the factory alarm.
The dealer wanted to charge me $300 for the alarm (they told me it was an ignition cut off chip) I declined buying it.
They then told me it was already in the truck and they would have to remove the chip since I did not want it. I told them to go ahead and remove it.
The truck was sitting outside in plane view during this conversation and never moved until I got in it and drove it home.
My question is can any one tell me how I can tell if this “Chip” is in the truck?
I am curious witch of the following is true?
A. Either the chip was in the truck and they failed to remove it.
B. The chip was never in the truck.
C. The chip never existed and it is just an attempt to get another $300
out of me.

Not 100% sure about the '09, but 99-08 the factory "alarm" is the PATS key function. It will not start the truck without a key that is programmed for the truck.
To program a key, you need at least 2 key already programmed for the truck, to program an additional key, or the WDS system to access it via PATS, if
There is no way to remove this function in the truck.

Search on the pdf version of the 2009 owners manual, only instances of alarm are for the personal / panic alarm. Nothing about an option for an ignition cut off chip ( other then the PATS system section ).

The up to '99 there was an option for a perimeter alarm on the truck, but this did not not cross to the '00 MY trucks, it changed with PATS to the Ford Gold remote start / alarm system.

Sounds like you dealer is as straight as mine, or in others words don't even let them change the oil. I do my own still, but I would trust Jiffy Lube over my Ford dealer, they are that crooked
