Heated seat conector?????

I’m doing a console swap from an expedition this week and I have been searching for posts about adding heated seats to see if my truck will have the connector. I found a thread about the seats from back in 06 and it had a lot of good info but on the second page of it Lightningcrew talks about 1st gen and 2nd gens not having the plug.

I would like to know if my truck with a build date of 06/02 (FX4 Supercrew) will have the connector.

If anyone has a post that they know of with more info that would be great.

Here is the post i was looking at.

I don't know if your truck will have the connector or not, but your build date is a Gen III SCrew.

The GEN I & Gen II were in the first build year, 2001, and were done by early 2001. My 2001 SCrew was a GEN III, with a build date of 5/01.

Only way to verify that the connector is there, is to go take a look, that is what I had to do with mine when I added the Nav visors, and the door key pad.

Where is the easiest place to look? I pulled the seat all the way forward and tried to find a hole in the carpet but couldn't. You didn't happen to take a picture of it did you?

Didn't take a picture, but you need to look a more closely, you missed the hole through the carpet, where the seat belt wiring goes through at least.

I found the hole. I was looking from the wrong side. I was looking from the back and its in the front. I couldn't pry the carpet up much, i didn't want to ripe it. I couldn't find the conector though. How far under the carpet would it be? Would i have to pull the carpet all out on that side to find out if i have it or not?

So i think i got it figured out. I went and looked at the seats that im putting in and i have all the connectors that they do on both driver and passenger seats. Am i correct in saying that the same conector that powers the heat also powers the motors for the seats?
