if you have the harness, it's a 8 wire plug under each seat, but you most likely won't if the truck didn't come with the seats from the factory....but at most, you'll just need a 12V switched source, and a ground, both of which are under there if you have powered seats.

Mine came from Heizgerat Setzt Seat Heaters on line, or call hot line 1-800-646-0874. They cost $100.00 per seat.

If you lived in north New Jersey they wouldn`t amuse you. I thought all Lariat Super Crew`s were wired for heated seats.

I live in Tampa, and I use my heated seats on any day colder than 59 degrees.

Some hot days with the A/C on, I use them just for the relief of sore aching back muscles.

I don't find anything amusing about it.

Mine is a Scab. It may be wired for the heated seats. But, I couldn't care less.

If you need heated seats in Tampa, perhaps a name change to Heat Aid would be in order

I don't 'need' them.

I've lived nearly fifty years without them.

But, I have them now, and I think they are a very nice option. When I leave work on cold nights, I remote start my truck first, about ten minutes early, and the seats are nice and toasty warm, and the heater is just getting ready to blow warm air.

I've lived long enough in 95+ degree heat that anything colder than 59 degrees is 'cold' to me, now.

If your profile is correct, the Lariat trim in '01 should have the connector for the heated seats under the carpet on each side.
Driver's side is C305, and pass side is C306.

The factory pinout has this as a 4 pin connector.
In the connector, the wire that is White with a Light Blue stripe is the power from the central junction box fuse 23, 10 AMP fuse, hot in the run position.

This is what feeds the factory switch power, for the indicator lamp, and to the heated seat module, which what feeds the seat back heater, seat heater, and the temp sensor.

The Black wire in the connector is ground, per the diagram in the 2001 EVTM, page 119-1 and 119-2.

The other wires in the connectors, I do believe are for the safety belt switch, per the diagram on 151-13.

Take a look under the seat for where the seat belt switch and if you have it, the power seat harness goes, and you might find the 4 pin connector.

My XLT has heated cloth seats in it, and this is how it looks under the seat from what I can recall.

I fyou use the power and ground from the power seat, that is hot at all times.

Good luck, post back if you need something else.

Prior to it, just poke your head under the seat, and see if you can see where the wires go under the carpet.

The EVTM did not show another connector from the central junction box to under the seat, so it does not seem as if it is added in later in the mfgr'ing line.

I found quite a bit of the Lariat harness in my '01 XTL SCrew, so I would imagine that your Lariat has the harnesses in as well.

Push the seat all the way forward, and take a look from behind I found easiest, but that is with a SCrew. You will see a cut in the carpet, where the harness runs through, stick your hand in there, and feel around, if it is not attached to the bottom of the seat already.

Once you hook it up, add the fuse in the central junction box, and you should be good to go.

Good luck, let us know how it turns out.

Bill,

Let me try to get by the storage where my SCrew is at, and try to take a look at how far under the carpet the connector might be.
I'm still waiting on the Ins company to figure out if they are totalling it, or fixing it, so it is not real handy for me. Sorry, see what I can come up with.
