Question Domelight problem

Can anyone help me figure out why the light doesn't come on when I open the drivers side rear door. I also have amp research power steps and they don't come down when I open that door.

Spray the latch mechanism with some silicone to lube it up.

Does the dome lamp come on with the other door ?

If not, you have the dome defeat ( dimer all the way down ) on.

I'll try spraying the latch and see if that works. Oh and the dome light does come on when the other doors are opened it just that one door that doesn't turn on the dome light.

check the harness between the door and the A pillar for a broken wire.

have seen 04+ have broken wires in there already.

this should be a black w/ yellow stripe wire. this runs from the left front door ajar switch to the instrument cluster. the other one to check ( which should be OK ) is the ground wire. door switch is switching ground to the door input.
