power window wont roll up

so my power window on my passenger side wont roll up. i doubt it is a switch problem because neither switch works. i doubt its a fuse because the door lights and power locks both work. my guess is this leads to either a bad motor or wiring. im hoping towards the motor because that would be easier to replace for me. i dont have a multimeter so i cant test the current.

anyways, my question to you guys is there anyway i can get the window rolled up manually? the reason for this is its cold as ***** outside, it will probably frost tonight, and my truck doesnt fit in the garage (its stock height, just a small garage).

i have the door panel off so i can sort of see the motor. i tried pressing the switch and reaching down in the door to try and help push the window up but its no go. the motor also doesnt make any sound when i move the switch up. it does make a sound when i push down, a click from inside the door panel

id like to get this done fast because i need to go to bed. im getting up in 6-1/2 hours to go deer hunting.

scotyg,

To doubt it is the switch because neither side works is a bad assumption, a problem with either switch can cause non operation on the passenger side.
The switches are in series, that is how they can both work, without beign able to have the switches fight each other ( one pressed down, other pressed up ).

To doubt it is a fuse is wrong, as the the windows, locks, and interior lights are on a different fuse each. Check your owners manual on this topic.

Testing if the motor is bad can be found in this thread.

One of the tests is applying power to the motor leads in the door.

My 2006 did the same thing last winter, had to replace the driver's side switch.

If you download the directions from http://www.muthco.com/index.htm for your MY truck, this will give you directions on how to get the door panel off, if you have not already.
You can disconnect the motor lead in the door, and apply power directly to the motor, polarity one way is down, the reverse polarity is up.

The switch is easy to change, mostly pulling door parts off, the switch is on a connector if you want to DIY, and save the dealer costs.

remove the speaker grille ( silver part on the door ) then pop up the switch panel ( pwr mirror, lock, window cover ), un-clip the switch from the panel, and then unplug the switch from the harness. REverse, and it is back together.

You can get a switch cheaper at one of the online parts places.

Confirm, but mins ( SuperCrew ) is :

about 40.00 + S/H from www.oemfordparts.com

if it's definitely not getting fixed today and you need to rig it just to get you through the night you can always pull the window off the regulator or track, slide it up by hand and stick something inside your door panel (piece of wood or something similar usually works pretty good) or a wedge between the molding and glass once it's rolled up(carefully not to break the glass) . good luck

If you could see the motor you might want to get a small hammer and give the motor a quick smack just to get it up then you could worry about it later. Without a DVOM or voltmeter its just a guessing game as to what broke. If you buy a cheap testlight you will be able to solve the problem quickly.
