What alarm/remote starter??

i have a 01 f150 with the keypad on the door and possibly wanting a remote starter/alarm where i can still use that feature if not then i can deal with it.

i am looking into a viper 5900 however just wondering what all extra sensors do i need like glass break sensors and tilt sensors. will the standard viper 5900 alarm go off if someone pushes on the truck or rocks it to try to break in or to jack the truck up to steal the rims.

and also if the alarm sets from the truck being shook is there a need for glass break sensors since once they either open the door or shake the truck enough the alarm should go off correct.

i have about 2500 dollars worth of audio i want to try to protect best as possible and i have a battery in the back so i will use that battery to run the alarm so they cant disable is under the hood.

looking into the viper5900 and the other alarms i was reading bout by kcauto

Any input is welcome

Thanks

Go to www.kcautosound.com . Travis there seems pretty good. Hes got three systems that work with the keypad. Actually I just posted thus thread for my 06 f150 about two days ago. Im all set to go with this company, I just have to decide which model to go with. There is the CA-671, SRT-5500 and the ford 6 button. They range from about 300 to 400 bucks. Simple install. My question is, which unit should I get? Travis is trying to convince me to get the Ford model. but the other 2 are two-way systems. granted i will be leaving my keys/remote in the truck most days, so the 2-way isnt a necessity. Anyone have any of these systems? thanks

I had one made by python on my 04 f150. The range was very nice. and it not once gave me a problem in 2 years. before my f150 the same kit was on my 3000gt for a couple years and never had a problem with it. Great range and was very dependable.

ok what sensors extra did you get and how hard was it to install or did you get someone to do it for you if so how much

and is the alarm sensitive i want a good alarm, and does it have any warning beep or anything if somoene is possibly messing with the truck instead of setting the alarm off

can get the viper 5900 new for 175 the bypass for 15 the proxmity sensor for 35 and the install for 150 plus 40 for the bypass and 40 for the proxmity sensor so total install cost is $230 is that a decent price. So total cost looking at $455 for everything not too bad i guess
