I had the problem with the driver's side on my 2006, it was the switch. Guess I had gotten rain in it. Replaced it, no more problem.

This is for a SuperCrew, which was 38.00:

Same I have an 06 and recently had to replace both of mine. I took them apart to determine the problem and it appears to be a bent contact that seems to have been caused by pressing on the buttons too hard.

The swap is a piece of cake. Take a wide flat head screw driver and gently pry up the cover the switches are mounted on.

It will pop up then just unplug the switch block and install a new one. Took me all of 5 minutes and now everything works perfectly

Oh and funny thing, the drivers side contains all 4 switches and is cheaper than the passenger that is only 1 switch

The power for all the switches runs through the driver's side master switch, then on to the other switches. If the driver's switch does not work any more, al the windows don't work.

Considering you are having problems with the driver's side first, I would start with that switch alone, and see if it is the problem with the pass side window switch, which it could be that switch is also bad.
