2002 f150 alarm/remote start
2002 f150 alarm/remote start
ok i have a few problems. i want to go ahead and tackle all of them ill take any help you can give.
1st. remote start will work, but only if key is touching the ignition, problem with the as-tbm bypass module? theres a little black piece of shrink wrap your suppose to place by the pats module but it doesnt do anything.
2nd. i cannot get the door trigger or lock/unlock to work. i dont know which wires go with what. the wires for the lock are:
red wire provides pulsed ground output to factory door lock control relay or a pulsed +12volt output to the factory door lock control relay
green wire provides pulsed ground output to factory door lock control relay or a pulsed +12volt output to the factory door lock control relay
red and black provides pulsed ground only and will only provide an output when the unlock button of the transmitter is pressed a second time after a first unlock command was issued.
any help will be appreciated. thanks

1) Rem start: I have never used the as-tbm module but all the F150's and 555PW I have to put the ring around the key cylinder, right behind where the key is inserted.
2) Door trigger: Black/Lt. Blue at overhead light (+)
3) Door locks: Do you have factory keyless entry? Do you have a factory disarm wire on your alarm.

remote start- am i suppose to hook the ground output while runnign to something?
trigger- is there anyway i can access the domelight wire besides from the actual light in the roof.
factory arm/disarm there s a wire thats labeled. headlight control output 30second output select arm/disarm or both (relay required)

What alarm is this exactly?
GWR - will have to do something with the bypass. Like I said Ive never used that one before. If you want to post up a pic of the entire wire color schematic. I may be able to better help you there. You can also email it to me if that helps.
That is one of the easiest places to do it. Otherwise its WAYY up under the dash. If you go to the other wires you MUST DIODE ISOLATE IT!
Do you have a factory keyless?
Do you have a factory disarm wire on that alarm.
Pk. Lights are pretty easy I just again need to see that schematic to further help you with this.
Look, if you are having this much of a hard time with it. I (no offense) am starting to think you need to take this to a specialist. This can get rather intense shortly.

ok thanks for your help everyone. i had it hooked up right. but the output on the alarm for the bypass module was not getting a 12v constant so i had to hook up the bypass module a different way. also i hooked the trigger up. and the door lock/unlock. what the heck is everyone talking about GEM wake up and all this about diodes? is that for when you hook up the trigger the right way?
