Switched Power Outlets
If you want it that way, you can place a relay on the circuit to it, and use the power from the radio to trigger the coil on the relay.
That is an easy to change the function, but using the radio will still leave it powered for the duration of the accy delay relay, or until the door is opened.
Does this sound about right for the function you are looking for ?

Yes, that is correct. I don't care if it is delayed by the radio turning off, I jjust want it off when the truck is turned off. I don't have a schematic/wiring diagram so I'm in need of that info.
Here is the diagram, to do what you want. Forgot to ask which ( cigar lighter or which power point ) you wanted, so the color codes for all 3 are in the drawing.
Don't just add stuff to the existing circuit, that is asking for trouble.

Thanks for the info. I've been out of town and just got a chance to look at this forum. One last question, how hard is it to get into the dash of a 2006 Lariat? I am thinking of mounting other gauges. I'll ask that in another forum. Thanks again!
It is a little tight around the anti-submarine panel, with the steel back there ( and the gauge is way too low to be really useful ) your profile does not note if it is a 4x2 or 4x4, the 4x4 switch location in a 4x2 is a coin holder that can be released from the back ( minimize tab breakage ) and a mini gauge put in that spot
my old interior album has pictures of the this

The center trim panel comes out real easy, but there is not a bunch of additional gauge locations, and the "trim lines" that run up next to the center trim panel are actually large sections of dash, so drilling them needs to be done with caution ( expensive to replace ).
Maybe an A-pillar pods set ? I have not looked into this, so I cannot say where best to mount one would be.
good luck

A few day's ago I parked and shut my 08 F-150 off. I forgot to turn CB off, powered by Cigar lighter and went out 20 hours later and battery was dead. Had to call Roadside assistance for a jump. To install the relay mentioned above, I guess the radio face plate needs to be removed. How is it removed?

On the flow through console, you open the ash tray, and grip the corners of the center trim bezel and pull out. This will release the lower spring clips. Work your way up the bezel pulling out on the panel to release the spring clips. I would guess it is the same without the flow through console, but I am not 100% sure
Good luck
