1993 eec
1993 eec
How do you take out the EEC on a 1993 Ford F150 with a 351. I had a 1990 F150 and didn't have a problem getting to the EEC. In this truck, there is a large cast piece that I cannot seem to off to get to the EEC. Anyone have any ideas?
From the inside or outside?? Inside under my dash is a large cast aluminum piece. It had 4 15mm screws in it. The parking brake assembly is attached to the cast piece. Like I said, it is very different from any Ford truck I have ever owned, this is the third and I've also had a Mustang that wasn't this this difficult to get to.
Thanks!! I got the computer out. It is an F2TF-12A650-CC. My question to you is, I can't find the CC computer, but I have found one that ends with CB, is the CB usable in my vehicle or does it have to be the CC? Both have A2Z2 on the outside of the box.
The F2TF-12A650-CC is the engineering drawing number and is what most after market suppliers go by but Ford dealers do not, they go by the part number.
The A2Z2 sounds like the program code that was burned into the chip that is inside the computer. You can go to this URL below to find out more about program codes. I noted that A2Z2 was not listed in their chart of program codes but their chart is not complete. Go there and you will get the idea.

If the A2Z2 is (the larger lettering) the program code on both then yes it will work just fine in your truck.
If you post the calibration number for your truck off the door post I can post the Ford Part Number.
The calibration number in the photo below is: 4-54E-R10.

Well I did find that F2TF-12A650-CC was removed from a BRONCO and sold on ebay at the link below.

You can check it out for yourself to see if any parts changed by going to the Motorcraft.com site, click Technical Resources, then Quick Guides, then VECI Labels.
