heater fan relay

heater fan relay

1997 F150, where is fan motor relay for a/c, heat ? I have no fan at all, fuses ok.

Could be the resistor under the passenger side glove box. Do a search for fan working on high speed only. I recall someone had a picture of the part and location

He has NO fan, not HIGH SPEED-only fan... The resistor can be unplugged and the blower will still work on HIGH. He does not have a resistor problem.

The blower relay is located in the same block as the flasher relay, up above and behind the OBDII port.

The relay is energized whenever the ignition switch is in RUN and the mode switch is not in OFF via fuse F24 in the under-dash fusebox.

When the relay is energized, power is supplied to the blower via engine compartment fusebox F23 and the closed relay contacts to the BR/Y lead of the blower motor. The other motor lead, O/BK, is switched through the resistor pack in positions 1-3 and is shunted directly to ground in position 4 for a total of 4 speeds.

blower speeds

thanks, I found relay next to trun signal flasher, replaced ,ok now.
