Driver side heated seat

Well my driver side heated seat isnt working. i tried changeing the heater module from the passanger side to the driver side and the driver side still doesnt work (the passanger side does). what do you guys think is wrong?
At first i thought it was the heating element but, dont you think it might be more likely that a fuse or wire has gone bad?

I ask this of some of the older members (anyone, of course, should pitch in though)

Didn't another member have trouble with their heated seats on a the original body style KR? I know this sounds familiar for some reason.

Yeah... I did a couple of quick searches as well... I couldn't put my finger on it either.

I may be off my rocker - trust me, I've been accused of that way more than once - but, I really think there was some talk about it...

Obviously, you've checked the fuses and stuff like that, right?

not yet because i thought i read that there where 3 fuses to check but im not sure what ones they are. If its wiring how can i be 100 percent sure thats what it is. Whats more likely to go the heating element or wires and fuses.

Fuses... check the fuses.

Those are the low-hanging fruit. Definitely the easiest place to check.

Your manual will detail which fuses run the heated seat system.

Once you check that and rule that out, then go to wiring and such... maybe even the switch.

Switch meaning the button to turn the heater seat on?
i dont think its that because there is a orange led light on the button that shows up. (I dont know if the light has anything to do with the button going bad.)

If the light is coming on then I think the switch is completing the circuit, which would tell me that the swith itself is working.?.?

Yeah. That's the one. Because the light is lighting up, I think it's likely that you're getting power on the circuit... which, to me, means that it may be another gremlin - like you previously mentioned.

King -- I'm going to copy this up to electrical. It may be such that someone up there can help a bit more (I can't find the heated seat thread here in KR to save my life). There will a redirect link from this forum directly into the Electrical forum to help in getting back to it.

Hey SSCULLY, friend ole' pal! Can you help my friend 4x4King with this? You know me and electrical...lol! Thanks, man!
