My speedometer cable has been making a lot of noise for the last couple of weeks, (1991 Mustang LX 5.0), and today it stopped working all together. I can still hear the cable when the car is in motion. Has anyone had this happen? I was wondering what was involved in fixing it, and the approximate cost before I dive in. There are a few speedo repair joints in my area, I just thought it better to hear from someone who has experienced this. I never have. Thanks in advance, Mel
