Emergency Brake Light on Cluster

Last week my emergency brake light on the dash started coming on.

I tried pushing the pedal all the way down and releasing it. This seemed to work for a couple of times. Now the light stays on all the time.

Cant seem to figure it out. I did get new tires a few days before this started.(not sure if the guys might have pinched or bumped something)

Any ideas?

Thanks

try pulling up on the e-brake pedal (when it is "fully released")

sometimes you have to pull up slightly to get the switch to turn off. If it is recurring, perhaps you can adjust the switch location slightly? (I'm assuming the switch mount has some adjustment built in)

I know on my truck when I use the e-brake I sometimes have to pull up after releasing the e-brake... the light stays off once I do that once.

I tried pulling up on the pedal several times. This doesnt seem to work. Is it possible that there is a short or something else that could be an issue.

Thanks
