Replacement Remote
Replacement Remote
I tried searching for this but couldn't figure out exactly how to word it. I lost my remote to my 01 F-150 and I have no numbers or anything to go by. I am not going to go and buy one from the dealership for $100+ so I guess I will use ebay. How do I figure out which will work on my vehicle? When I get it, how do I program it for my truck?
TIA.

you could try googling for a remote for your truck, rather then pictures to add to a bump.
Google : 2001 ford f150 remote
Here is one of them, does it look like this ?

Funny enough, the advertising at the bottom of the page for your thread when I pulled it up was for Original Keyless.com
http://www.originalkeyless.com/produ...productId=1028
Advertising on the side bar :

If you don't want to read your owners manual on programming, Original Keyless.com has this nice little statement
Programming Instructions - INCLUDED FREE WITH YOUR ORDER!
If you don't want to purchase it from a place that includes the instructions, or don't want to read your owners manual, a search on the site here would have produced a few places along with :

The advertising is context specific, if you would have looked down below the reply after your 1st ( or 2nd ) posting, or looked to the ads by google on the left side of the screen, you could have gotten an answer real quick. Steve makes money for the site with the advertising, as well as it might help someone looking for something.
good luck
