'05 fuse - wrong amp?

I have been having a problem with the cruise not working since i bought it. I have not changed any fuses yet. I was looking at fuse #14. It controls the digital trans range sensor, dt running light relay, brake pedal position switch, A/C high pressure switch, positive crankcase vent heater, ABS control and rear wiper motor. It says to be 10 Amp but the fuse in it is only 5. It is not blown. Is it a problem that there is a 5A instead of 10A? I am going to change it 1st thing. I was just being curious.

I wouldn't worry about it. Since it's not blowing, it's not the reason for your problem. You can replace it whenever you get around to it.

I'd start by checking the deactivator switch on the master cylinder for an open circuit (it should be normally closed).

While the 05s were not included in the recall, the switch can still fail (open) and remove operating power from the cruise module.

If it's supposed to be 10A, I'd change it. But, since it is not blown, the lower rated fuse can't possibly have anything to do with your cruise control problem.
