Why would my Ignition Switch Fuse blow? Other problems now arising...
Okay so this afternoon I was at home depot.. truck was running fine... when i came out... i got in the truck... put it into reverse to back out of my spot, stepped on the brake to switch to Drive, and suddenly, my truck dies immediately.
once it died, i shifted it into park to try to restart it, and nothing would happen. lights worked, but no radio, no starter, Silence.
at first i thought maybe the battery was loose or something... i ended up disconnecting the bat, let it sit for a few minutes, then reconnected it and tried to start the truck again. nothing. after a little while of toying with things, i found my Ignition Switch Fuse was blown. Fuse number 102 under the passenger's side dash in my 04 F150. I replaced it, and the truck started right back up.
however... on the drive home, it was scarey... idle in drive was down just above 300. my truck has always idled a bit low, but not this low.
a few days ago i had to replace my ignition coil on cylinder #5 because the truck was studdering and shaking and acting wierd... on the way home today it felt like it was doing that again...
so... what the hell might be wrong with my truck? as i said before, it has always ideled a bit low while in drive (right around 500rpm). it also idles low in park. the only thing ive done to my truck recently was put on an S&B intake. other than the intake, i have a catback exhaust (previous owner installed it, so i don't know the brand), and thats it.. no other mods on the truck.

quick update...
took it to my mechanic. within the 4 mile drive, the service engine light came on... because it was idleing at around 300, i had to keep my foot on the gas and the brake at the same time during redlights becuase it felt like it was going to stall at any moment.
my mechanic said he is swamped right now with work and will look at it wednesday sometime, so for now i'm with no truck for a couple of days

u could try checking all of the cops again. its possible another one went out, or the same #5 is gone again. did u use dielectric grease?
i only know the basics of internal combustion. fuel, compression, and spark.
but i also know that the engine needs a good supply of air intake.
is it possible your intake is clogged? u didnt install it right? its a lemon? a lack of air to the engine would result in your low rpm.
i know a little but about the mechanics, so ive given u the best ive got, someone else may be able to help you more.
