NEED QUICK HELP PLEASE -1998 F150 4.6 Windsor clicks but no start
Leaving for work this morning and the truck would just click once and dome light would go out.Battery and alternator 1 year old. Checked battery connections,Good.Got under truck and found two black wires 1 large and 1 small that go to a stud with a nut holding them on. The large one was completely corroded and disconnected the small one goes into a wiring loom.I assumed the was the Neg. battery cable so I replaced, No help.I'm in St.Louis and its freezing rain outside right now but of course I can get it into the garage. When I short the relay behind the battery I hear that click coming from the starter area.Did I hook up that new cable to the correct location ? Does anyone have a wiring guide for this. Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: It was the starter itself, The braided cable that runs from the solenoid to the starter motor was completely corroded off. What a pain to replace with hand tools in the snow and cold weather.
