1997 F150 electrical schematics wanted

hi folks,

i'm new in here and i'm german. a few days before i just bought a f150, V8 4.6ltr, xtracab. made in 1997.

that car has some problems with the steering functions like the horn, the cruise control (tempomat in german) and the airbag-control-light is on. i'm not sure what the problem is. so, for investigation that problem an electrical schematic would be very helpful.

thats the reason for my question. does somebody have a electical schematic for my ford f150 in pdf (or other) format.

i would really appreciate this.

sorry for mistakes.

Sounds like you could be having a clockspring problem. Have you taken the airbag off to look at the wiring?

Willkommen!

Yes, your clockspring has probably failed (kaput). It is used for all three functions.

hi there,

thx for reply. i didnt have taken the airbag out.

sorry i don't know what clockspring is. could you describe it pls?
sorry german. :o

no chance to get the schematics?

edit: could it be that the clockspring is a kind of slipring?
i took out the airbag and checked the wirings but everything looks properly.
is it right that the clockspring is situated underneath the steering?
do i have to unmount the steering for checking the clockspring?

thx for help
