'00 XLT 4x4 Thermometer readout incorrect

I have a 2000 F150 XLT and the digital thermometer in the overhead console reads up to 101 degrees when driving. I live in Michigan where it NEVER gets that warm (especially in January!!) The current temps have been ranging from 0 to 32 degrees, but the thermometer is reading at 56 and up, even upon starting the truck. Is there a way to calibrate this, or can someone tell me WHERE the sensor is located?

I am having the exact same issue. I live in Buffalo NY. Temp indication is correct at start up, but increases as cab warms up. I am guessing that the sensor has come loose, but I have no idea where it may be.
