Angry No power windows and no stereo

Hey I think I may have messed up big here! In an attempt to get my driving lights on and high beams on at the same time I shorted a relay to ground.Of course I removed the short but now I have no power windows, no power rear slider, no moon roof, and no stereo. The weird thing is if you hold down the power button the clock still comes on, the ford emblem displays and you can eject and reload cd's. What the hell have aI done??!!

i would start by going over the interior fuse box and the line going into it. go over it with a fine tooth comb and look for anything out the ordinary. then if you dont find anything move over to the engine bay. this is going to be a long and painful experience but its hella cheaper then bring it to a shop. i did the same thing before and i had to pay 700. good luck and keep us updated

Did you take it to the dealership? Did they tell you what they did? I am thinking it is one of those irritating fusable links Ford is so famous for, maybe in the ground side of the delayed power circuit, because all of the stuff that doesn't work is all delayed power off when you open the door. Well at least I got heat, damn cold here. Thanks.

It would be helpful if you could tell us what relay you "shorted to ground", and what wire color you used.

A few things.

1. Sound like to took out the Accessory delay circuit.

This is Relay R02 in the central junction box ( CJB or cab fuse panel ).

The Accy Delay relay is R02 in the CJB, and the power to it is hot at all times, fed from the fusable link from the battery ( Circuit 1113 yellow w/ light green stripe ).

The output of the Accy Delay relay ( R02 ) is via Fuse F22 / 10A and F401/30A

So there is one fuse, and one circuit breaker to take a look at, as well as the relay, if that is the one that you used.

A bit more info on what you did, and to what wire / relay, would provide more detail to help with trouble shooting this.

Ok guys here it is!! STUPID mistake. I guess when I was taking the relays out I put the delay circuit relay back into the trailer battery charge relay spot. ooops. reversed my mistake now everything is back to normal . Thanks SSCULLY for making me think of the delay relay. I'll think I'll leave **** alone for awhile now.

No need for that, glad it was an easy fix.

No need to be worried about what caused it, the fix is the important thing for yourself and the next member that does this.

get back on that horse, and get the backup cameras installed !!

Black/Pink wire

Ok the horse kicked me now I am straight. I bought the complete wiring diagram for the '07 King Ranch, no '08 available yet but I figured since my truck was built in late '07 shouldn't be any different. I found the black and pink wire that activates the back up lights and parking assist. I wonder if i send 12 volts to that wire via a relay and momentary switch would it activate the back up lights and rear OEM camera? Adding another set of auxiliary back-ups soon. That would be sweet just to check on my 4 wheeler trailer or jetski trailer while on the road.
