There is another post on the same topic;
Look at 06 F150 OEM Battery...
seems they put junk in many trucks.
Just took my 07 Screw 4x4 5.4 fx4 in with battery problems. Last week on two mornings 9 deg. and 11 deg the truck would turn over 5 or 6 times and dead battery. I had to jump it. Took to dealer today and they ran test on battery and put in a new one. My last F150 a 98 has the original battery, I had the truck 9 years and when I traded it in August of 07 it had the original battery going strong.
I also want to know what's going on and why something went bad but if your truck is still under warranty, let the dealer figure out what's wrong.
My new '06 Honda Gold Wing was less than 6 months old when the battery had to be replaced.
What prevents everything from being perfectly made or assembled without flaws is that most all manufacturers can't afford to do 100% inspections to catch defective parts.
Thank goodness for factory warranties.

I was going to try to explain what I went through to check for this problem on my truck using an ammeter, but it's way too complicated. They should be able to do this at the dealership. -or- you could pull the fuses or unplug the radio and GPS and see if you still have a battery that dies on you. If not, one of these mods is sucking on the battery while you're asleep.
Good luck - the electrical system in these new vehicles is NOT an easy thing to troubleshoot. BTW, there's always a "small" drain on the battery to maintain the computer's memory, the clock, anti-theft alarm and any radio station presets.
