With new GEM module in hand due to the exact symptoms of a failure I figured out today that somebody had installed possibly several different alarms splicing in various places under dash and kickpanel. The wires were butchered. Shorted together taking out the ignition switch. New switch in place and truck is 100% again which is a good thing since I have 16 inches of snow on the ground and don't want to push my camaro or firebird out of the driveway (driveway is 1/2 mile long with multiple washouts).

So if anyone is in need of a brand new GEM let me know. I'll sell for 100 plus shipping. It was ordered for a 99 f150 with esof
