Exclamation light testing failure when ign.is turned on

ok here is the problem, the following light do not come
on in test mode when i turn on the igntion,
emergency brake (also does not light up when emergency brake
is apllied) check engine light, abs light, door ajar (door ajar light
also doesn't work when motor running and door is open either side)
what are the chance's that all these bulbs are burnt out?
to be honest i don't know if any of these lights worked when i
bought the truck about 3 weeks ago, i have checkout anything
yet because 1.i want to take the truck to autozone to see
if there are any codes in there, and 2. i'm a little scared of messing
with the headlight switch to get the instrument panel off. so
i'm starting fresh in checking this problem out, i can only see
the good side that these bulbs are all burnt out, but i also
have a big doubt about it being that simple.

any help and starting place
thanks
David

Occam's Razor stipulates that the simplest explanation is usually the correct one.

The bulbs are likely burned out or were removed by a previous owner.

Stored codes won't affect the inoperative bulbs.....

You'll need to pull the cluster.
