Dash Lights
Dude, you read my mind. I wanna go from green to red. I think there are little clear pieces of plastic with a green tint that makes the color green. Im not sure but im gonna take my dash apart and take a look.
Usually on backlit gauges, the plastic gauge overlay is what actually has the color, and the bulbs are clear and just light up the color.
To help clarify just in case, if they light up green, the actual numbers themselves are a clear green plastic that get lit up.
Here's a red:

Here's a blue:

Factory is green.
On my truck where it is just lit up from the bulb (I don't know what type this is called), there are green plastic covers over the bulbs.

on my dash, i also have the little info display for your millage trip reading. this is digital. i don't have a RPM gauge, i just use the Edge for that. i would also like to change the climate controls and all. even the buttons for the cruise control on the steering wheel.
Those were just examples...
As far as the HVAC Controls and steering wheel buttons, those would have to be replaced with aftermarket pieces that have the different color. I'm not sure who makes them for trucks.
