2003 dome light

I have a 2003 F-150 supercrew my interior lights will not come on when i open the doors or with the dimmer switch on the dash. The bulbs all look good and the map lights work when i turn them on. Was wondering if the relay in the fuse box may be bad. When i pulled it out the map lights went out. Just wanting some derection so i dont order a part that wont help me

Here are the possibilies:

The courtesy lamps do not turn on with one door open -
1.GEM.
2.Door open warning lamp switch.
3.Circuit(s).
4.Interior lamp relay.
5.Battery saver relay

Are both the front & rear courtesy lamps out ?

The lamps that are controlled by the battery saver relay ( triggered by the GEM )
1. glove box
2. Map lights
3. Interior lamp relay
3.1. Cargo lamps
4. Interior lamps

The cargo lamps, and the door entry lamps ( think these were removed by 2003 ) are the only lamps without a separate connection to the battery saver relay.

The glove box, vanity mirror and engine compartment lamps are the only lamps without a connection to the interior lamp relay.

Check the list, if the cargo lamps work with the door or dimmer switch, I would say replace your bulbs in the truck.

Both the battery saver relay and the interior lamp relay obtain power from the same hot at all times fuse #14. Running board lamps have a separate fuse if they are installed.

Did you check fuse #14?
