distributor location???

distributor location???

hey guys, im hooking up a tachometer, i have one wire goin to the battery negative, one goin to my fuse box, and there is one that goes to the negative side of my distributor, i think for ignition? ik nothing about those. but anyways, i have no idea where to find mine... 2002 f150 reg cab, v6
any help would be nice,

i dont think the 02's have distributors. they have a DIS (distributorless ignition system) if this is the case your going to need a tach adaptor. if the tach is autometer they make an adaptor for about $75. it might work with other models im not completely sure.

It has a coil pack, but no distributor.
